Who We Are

A strong community for Turkish students and citizens across Veneto

The Veneto Turkish Student Association (VTOB) is a student community established to bring together Turkish students and citizens living in the Veneto region of Italy, while strengthening communication, solidarity and a sense of community among them. We aim to build strong and lasting connections within the Turkish community across the region, particularly in Padua, Venice, Verona, Vicenza, Treviso, Rovigo and Belluno.

We seek to create a supportive environment where students can help one another with the challenges they may encounter in their academic and everyday lives. Through social, cultural, academic and professional activities, we also aim to contribute to the personal and professional development of our members, while promoting Turkish culture and strengthening cultural and social ties between Türkiye and Italy.

Our mission is to bring together Turkish students and citizens in the Veneto region under a shared community and to strengthen solidarity, communication and mutual support. We particularly aim to help newly arrived students adapt to life in the region, encourage the exchange of knowledge and experience, and create an environment where challenges can be addressed together.

Through academic, cultural, social and professional activities, we support the development of our members as well as student-led initiatives and projects. Promoting Turkish culture in Italy and contributing to greater cultural exchange and understanding between Türkiye and Italy are also important parts of our mission.

Our vision is to build a strong, inclusive, sustainable and respected community that brings together Turkish students and citizens throughout the Veneto region. Regardless of city or university, we aim to establish a lasting network of communication and solidarity while creating opportunities that contribute to the academic, social and professional development of our members.

In the long term, we envision VTOB as more than a community that simply brings students together. We want it to become a platform that contributes to stronger academic, cultural and social ties between Türkiye and Italy, and a lasting community where Turkish students across Veneto can connect, support one another and create value together.
